RATES COORDINATOR
Walgett Shire Council has an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion to finance.
The primary focus of this position is to ensure rates revenue is collected in accordance with policies and legislation, and respond to contact from ratepayers and ensures that the property information on the rates database is maintained in an accurate and timely manner.
The successful applicant will have:
- Sound experience, knowledge and understanding of Local Government rating principles.
- Sound knowledge of the Local Government Act and Financial Management Regulations.
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Sound numeracy skills.
- Accurate data entry skills.
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to ensure that appropriate confidentiality is maintained.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
