About the organisation:

Walgett Shire Council is a local government providing services to the towns of Walgett, Lightning Ridge and Collarenebri, villages including Carinda, Cumborah, Rowena and Burren Junction and the surrounding rural areas. The Shire covers an area of 22,000 square kilometres and has a population of approximately 7,000. Dominant industries include cropping, grazing, grain handling, opal mining and tourism.

As a pivotal member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will drive the transformation of the People and Culture function, ensuring alignment with Council’s strategic objectives.
