About the role:
Walgett Shire Council is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administration Officer – Property and Community Facilities to support the effective management of Council’s properties and facilities.
In this role, you will work closely with the Manager to coordinate a range of property-related activities, including organising tenancy agreements, assisting with inspections, and ensuring facilities are well-maintained. You will also oversee key management, schedule maintenance requests, and assist in coordinating property-related projects to ensure Council’s facilities meet community needs and standards.
About you:
- Ability and skills to provide administrative support across a diverse range of services.
- Strong organisational skills to coordinate maintenance schedules, manage keys, and assist with inspections and projects.
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring tenancy agreements, inspections, and property records are accurate and up to date.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with tenants, contractors, and internal stakeholders professionally and efficiently.
- Experience in assisting with property management tasks, such as organising entry and exit cleans, scheduling inspections, and supporting tenancy arrangements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite.
- High level of initiative and problem-solving skills to contribute to the smooth operation of Council facilities.
- A customer-focused approach, with the ability to handle sensitive situations, such as cemetery bookings, with professionalism and empathy.
- Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent experience, along with competence in records management and data entry.
