About the role:
The Youth Development and Aquatic Facilities Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and supervising Council’s youth programs and aquatic facilities to ensure they are safe, engaging, and responsive to community needs. This hands-on leadership role involves managing staff, overseeing daily operations, and delivering programs that support young people and promote community wellbeing. About you:

Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering youth programs that are engaging, inclusive, and community-focused.

Proven ability to supervise and motivate multidisciplinary teams in both youth and aquatic environments.

Holds relevant qualifications in lifeguarding, first aid, and pool water quality testing to ensure safety and compliance.

Strong organisational skills with experience managing staff rosters, events, and day-to-day facility operations.

Skilled in building positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and community stakeholders.

Practical knowledge of aquatic facility operations, including water testing, chemical handling, and incident response.

Committed to continuous improvement, high-quality customer service, and representing Council in a professional and positive manner.
