Council Opportunities
Council employs people across a range of fields. This standing Expression of Interest is open year round for people who would like to be considered for casual, temporary, fixed term, or short term contract work as operational needs arise.
- Some of our common roles include:
- Plant operators, for example graders, backhoe, forklift, bobcat
- Truck drivers, for example HR, HC, MC
- Water and wastewater workers
- Waste and resource recovery staff
- Parks and gardens, labouring and maintenance
- Administration and customer service
- Finance staff, for example payroll, creditors, debtors, general finance support
- Town planners and building services staff
- Human resources, procurement, and information technology
- Other specialist roles, depending on operational needs
